It has been another year of change and ups and downs for us all. But as we are nearing the end of 2022, let’s look ahead to 2023 and share our review of the year with you.

Office design and space planning projects
Throughout the year we worked on a number of projects for new and repeat customers through Buckinghamshire, London and the Southeast ranging from 4 week to 3 month projects, ranging from £30,000 to £120,000. These projects mainly focussed on satisfying space and planning needs for the clients and their teams around flexible working for various styles of working, booths for informal meetings, wellbeing and mindful environments and individual space as well as team/collaborative space. Office furniture and space trends
Post lockdown, there has been a trend, which is continuing, for offices and working space to be more homely in look and feel. Of course, the space still needs to remain functional and productive to work in, but the social aspect of working is prevalent still. For example, soft seating such as sofas and armchairs, but chillout areas, tea break areas, booths with sofas, pods and more. Plants and accessories to give that homely feel are also still popular. Sit to stand desks are still proving popular to enable workers to work more flexibly with their positioning and with the type of work they are doing as and when. Booths and pods are still popular as said, for providing a flexible solution for informal meetings, collaborative working as well as those needing space as and when, when working occasionally in the office.

The team
We have brought in new furniture ranges and using a variety of suppliers and sources to bring our clients the best options, ranges and pricing in our furniture dealers’ role.

Trends for 2023 in offices
How and where people are working will be a real aspect to consider with more and continued hybrid and agile working (alternating between the home and the office) as well as many businesses considering or trialling a 4-day week.
Nature and sustainability will also be a consideration from colours/décor to plants and environmentally furniture and products.

The team at Sygnus would like to take this opportunity to wish our customers, suppliers and colleagues a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
The Sygnus office and showroom will be closed from Friday 23rd December until Tuesday 3rd January for the festive break
